The Cape Town Creative Academy’s vision is to provide transdisciplinary student-centred education that empowers students to reimagine the world and transform the future.

The Cape Town Creative Academy sets out to achieve this vision by: 

  • creating and sustaining a safe and nurturing student-centered learning environment that ‘holds’ the student through the challenges of transformative learning. 

  • delivering goal-oriented transdisciplinary programmes that prioritise the development of the necessary skills, knowledge and attributes required for a sustainable and meaningful career path.  

  • fostering curiosity, critical consciousness, resilience and reflexivity in order to empower a new generation of forward-thinking leaders to embrace problem-solving, change and transformation.  

  • embracing an ethos that cultivates young, creative professionals to uphold and protect the integrity and sustainability of the creative industries.

The Cape Town Creative Academy is committed to a code of ethics that is based on accountability and responsibility, respect and the principles of equality and non-discrimination, and therefore does not discriminate against individuals on the basis of race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, or HIV/Aids status in the administration of its educational or employment policies.

The Cape Town Creative Academy prepares learners to become leaders in the creative industry – both locally and abroad – in a wide spectrum of creative careers.

The Cape Town Creative Academy’s team of highly experienced educators and design practitioners continually work in close collaboration with industry connections to ensure that our programmes reflect and respond to the latest developments in the Creative Industries.

Our programme outcomes are measured in relation to international standards of competence and the constantly changing needs of the job market. A high employment figure for graduates is a priority for the Cape Town Creative Academy.
